NO! NOT THAT!!
w*rbirdlover said: Yes, I'm selling my Cleveland Launcher 460 Comp after one month. First $200 takes it (I'll pay shipping in US). Bought it at Dick's Sporting Goods for $299.99.Reason? I stupidly bought it without hitting it. I figured 10.5 loft, reg. shaft just like always. Well, turns out their stock regular shaft is more whippy then what I'm used to. So why not reshaft it? Because no one will do it with the composite top due to the possibility of ruining the head. It came with a warning note to send to Cleveland for all re-shafting. I checked to see how long that would take. Weeks! The Cleveland Launcher Comp would be a great club with the right shaft. I almost wished I would have bought the "non-comp" all metal Launcher for $50 less which is easy to re-shaft.And finally, I'm hitting the SNOT out of my Ping G5! Straight down the middle. I can crank on this one without slicing. The Launcher was straight down the middle until I swung a little to fast and it would slice. Played with another guy with a 9 degree G5 (stiff Aldila NV 65) and he was crushing them.So I still wouldn't argue that the Launcher might be the best driver but you'd better get the right shaft in it before you buy it.If you do want it, PM me or e-mail me jlindell@wi.rr.comOtherwise, E-Bay here it comes!
Sl*ngblade61 said: poppycock! Cut the old shaft and drill out the remains (11/32nds I believe). That way you don't have to risk any damage by heating up the shaft.
R*ckford35 said: You can hot rod it too. Cut the shaft, heat up a rod and stick it down the shaft to break the bond. You're never gonna use that stock Cleveland shaft for anything anyways. I'll give you $44 for the head. Just cut the shaft off and keep it and the grip. I'm serious. I have $44 in my Paypal account with your name on it. :D R35

As long as I don't throw from the top, they go straight and long. How long? Well, I played the Nicklaus course down in Williamsburgh VA (Williamsburgh National) on Friday. Drove a 275 yard par 4. As many of you know, for me, this is monster city. Shot 83 & couldn't hit a putt all day. That's 2 consecutive rounds under 85. It's gotta be the driver. I'm going to paint the head of my 400 Launcher (black fleck) and then decide whether to sell it or keep it as a backup. But it is a backup. ;)
w*rbirdlover said: $44 ????? (I'd better take my picture off my posts. Must look pretty stupid!) (Never thought of those options but I don't know that much about re-shafting. If I don't get what I think I should I might still have it re-shafted).
R*ckford35 said: I wasn't trying to undermine your value, WBL. I just happen to have 44 bucks in my Paypal account at the moment. I just figured, if you were game....:D Good luck with the sale. You shouldn't have a problem getting that on E-bay for it. R35

R*ckford35 said: 43"? Just a tad too short or I woulda jumped at it....:D I actually had a Nicklaus 3 wood persimmon that I used for years until I broke it. I could carve that thing like crazy... I have an old Ginty at home too. 4 wood. Super sweet. It's probably so dry now that it would explode. R35
w*rbirdlover said: SOLD THE LAUNCHER! $200 TO A GUY AT WORK. Had another friend that was ready to take it if the first didn't. (Now what do I need?) :)

w*rbirdlover said: I use my PW for everything, even sand. I know exactly what to expect and it makes shot making around the green very easy for me (I can chip and play out of the sand with the best of them!) Maybe put it towards a Tour Edge Exotics driver with Grafalloy Prototype Comp NT shaft? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
w*rbirdlover said: Well, three "SURE" customers backed out so it's still for sale. I think I'll re-shaft it. One guy thought it was a "Hi-Bore" and he was going to get a $400 club for $200. Duh!
R*ckford35 said: So my 44 bucks is looking pret-ty damn sweet about now, hey WBL? :D R35
w*rbirdlover said: Rockford, I'm almost ready to order the Prototype Comp NT shaft!!!
